Summary

As a Collections agent, you will be responsible for managing accounts receivable and ensuring timely collection of payments. Reporting to the Finance Manager, your role is vital in maintaining the financial health of the organization. You will utilize your strong communication and organizational skills to effectively negotiate payment plans and resolve discrepancies. Your expertise in customer service and financial concepts, along with premium skills in phone etiquette, will enhance your ability to foster positive relationships with our clients. Job Responsibilities:

• Review accounts with outstanding balances and implement collections procedures.
• Contact customers via phone and email to resolve open balances.
• Follow up on collection calls and maintain detailed notes on customer account.
• Research and resolve customers on hold in a timely manner.
• Send electronic statements on a monthly basis.
• Generate and send collection letters according to escalation process.
• Forward unresponsive accounts to outside agency according to escalation process.
• Research and resolve short pays with customers.
• Resolve customer issues by working with service managers & billing department.
• Submit credit memo requests to controller for approval when necessary.
• Assess account credit risks and propose credit limits to controller for approval.
• Set up new charge customers when credit terms are required.
• Maintain tax exempt forms and properly notate on customer account.
• Research unapplied cash.
• Keep customer accounts updated as new information is received.
• Forward ACH information to customers
